Whether staying in our remote host village Sougia, or if you prefer the more bustling town of Palaiochora, there is a number of options to choose from that are suited to everyone.
Sougia
Sougia is the village where Eternal Sun takes place. It’s a sleepy seaside village with a modest amount of rooms available, there are still properties available to stay here, however, a lot of the accommodation needs to contacted directly to book.
Many properties are not on platforms such as booking.com.
You can find a list of hotels in the area below:

Palaiochora
Palaiochora is a vibrant town that sits just west of Eternal Sun, offering an abundance of cafes, restaurants and beaches to enjoy. Accommodation is widely available and suitable to a range of budgets. We will be providing a complimentary shuttle transfer each evening and morning of the festival to ensure seamless travel to Eternal Sun and back. There are also other transport options including taxi, car hire and also a boat service that sails direct to Sougia from Palaiochora.
The shuttle transfer is around a 45 minute journey. Please email contact@eternalsunfestival.com to confirm your transfer.
Surrounding Villages
The surrounding villages also offer accommodation; Moni, Rodovani and Agriles are some of the close-by areas you can stay. Car hire is suitable and taxis are also available from https://www.sougiataxi.com
Wild camping at Sougia
For the more free spirited among us, Sougia also offers a designated area for free wild camping on the beach, along with space for camper vans. There are only a few places you can legally wild camp in Crete and one of these places is Sougia beach. Lucky you!
